Am 15.09.1956 wurde das Großkapitel der Maurer vom Königlichen Bogen von Deutschland gegründet.<br /> <br /> Seit 1959 korrespondierte der Gefährte Rolf Appel mit dem Großsekretär der RAM, um eine Charter für ein Kapitel in Hamburg zu bekommen. Am 05.11.1960 beschließt das Großkapitel der RAM von Deutschland, dass das Kapitel LaValette in Hamburg eine Charter bekommen.<br /> <br /> Am 06.02.1960 war bereits eine Deputation dazu ausgefertigt worden. Am 29. Oktober 1960 wurde durch Ryoji Beutner und Peter M. Rasmussen das Kapitel installiert.<br /> <br /> Der Name erinnert an die Stadt La Valette auf Malta, 1566 vom Großmeister der Johanniter Joseph de la Valette gegründet, wo sich die letzten 300 Ritter gegen eine Übermacht von Osmanen vergeblich verteidigt hatten. Was müssen das für Kämpfer gewesen sein, die mit nur 300 Mann einem ganzen Heer, über Monate standgehalten haben - bis alle tot waren. So R. Appel in einer Namenserklärung 1961.
