Leicestershire & Rutland Grand Charity 2001, enamelled Masonic medal
A finely detailed enamel medal issued to members of the Grand Provincial Lodge of Leicestershire & Rutland for participation in their 2001 Grand Charity fund raising event. It is quite usual for Masonic lodges to partake in major fund raising drives for local charities and in support of their community.
The medal’s design is based on the Leicestershire & Rutland Provincial Lodge coat-of-arms that has been in use since 2000 ( www.pglleics.co.uk/home.html ).

1975 Mark Benevolent Fund - Festival Steward's badge
A finely detailed enamel badge issued to Steward’s of the Mark Mason’s annual fund raising festivals. In this case, by the Grand Provincial Lodge of Leicestershire and Rutland. The Mark benevolent Fund is the charitable arm of the Mark Masonry in aid of Freemason widows and distressed members. They also raise funds for other charitable causes and local needs.
Enamels: 4 (green, red, white & blue).
Finish: Gilt.
Material: Brass (?).
Fixer: Pin.
Size: 1 ¼” across x 1 3/8” down (about 32mm x 35mm).
Process: Die stamped.
Maker: No maker’s name or mark.
