Records of the lodge minutes show that in 1759 the members of the lodge ordered a chair to be made for the master. James Telford was tasked with the making of the chair and Samuel Leathwick with the carving. Brother Wood of the lodge dealt with the painting and gilding of the chair. Records show the costs were as follows - £ S d Jas. Telford for a mahogany chair for the Master 3 13 6 Saml. Leathwich for carving the same 3 3 6 Jas Telford, stuffing the seat 6 0 Set of castors for the Chair 3 6
