Marcel Buerkle

Marcel Buerkle is a senior designer currently working in a through-the-line and specialist packaging design agency in Johannesburg, South Africa. He has been active in the packaging design industry for about 4 and a half years, working predominantly for renowned Companies such as Mars Inc., Nestlé, Tiger Brands, Nampak and many other reputable brands.

Prior to designated agency work Marcel developed designs and pre-print production under his own independent LightHouse Studio brand for several years. He has extensive experience in the fields of packaging design, point-of-sale, branding, product photography, annual reports, magazines and tabloid newspapers.

Jahresberichte und Jahrbücher

These are the annual reports and year books for the Grand Lodge of South Africa. Select visual elements for both the covers and inside page we illustrated, rendered in 3D and film photographed with a Zenza Bronica in medium format. Several issues contain paintings and etchings from renowned artist Jens Rusch (Germany) whose works can be seen on the front and back covers of 2006 and 2008. Although annual reports for the Grand Lodge of South Africa, issues were distributed internationally in English, Afrikaans and French, with some reports containing all three languages.
