The Association

Founded in 2013, the Association of Masonic Arts is actively involved in laying the groundwork for a far greater appreciation of the significance of the Masonic Arts, and its recognizable material culture in Western history and beyond. Though the beautiful objects of the Craft have long been a focus of great fondness for Masons, the serious potential in using the wider appreciation of its themes and symbolic meanings has been under-appreciated as a simple way of bringing all those connected with Masonic traditions together. The AMA will strongly pursue the goal of fostering greater research, dialogue, courteous debate and vigorous application of basic artistic enthusiasm towards a higher purpose.

Die Gesellschaft

Es handelt sich um die wahrscheinlich am schnellsten wachsende zeitgenössische internationale Gesellschaft zur Förderung der freimaurerischen Künste.

Zugegeben: An und für sich ist dies noch kein Qualitätsmerkmal - Ausdruck jedoch von dem gemeinsamen, und verbindenden, Willen und Wollen diejenigen über Ländergrenzen hinweg zusammenzuführen, die sich insbesondere dem kunstvollen und künstlerischen Aspekt der Königlichen Kunst verschrieben haben.

Dabei versucht die Gesellschaft AMA auf zweierlei Art und Weise zu wirken: Zum einen zur Förderung der Künste innerhalb der Logen, zum anderen in der entsprechend positiven Außendarstellung.

Gegründet in 2013 ist die Association of Masonic Arts (Gesellschaft der freimaurerischen Künste) aktiv involviert im Aufbau des Fundamentes einer wachsenden Anerkennung der Bedeutung der Freimaurerischen Künste, und deren erkennbarer materiellen Kultur in der westlicher Geschichte und darüber hinaus. Obwohl die schönen Werke der Königlichen Kunst seit langem im Fokus der Zuneigung von Freimaurern ist, wurde das gewichtige Potenzial der weitergehenden Anerkennung ihrer Themen und ihres Symbolgehaltes, als gangbarer Weg um all jene miteinander zu verbinden, welche sich freimaurerischen Traditionen verbunden fühlen, lange nicht ausreichend gewürdigt. Die AMA verfolgt das Ziel freimaurerische Forschung, den Dialog, die gepflegte Diskussion, und den lebhaften Einsatz des grundlegenden künstlerischen Enthusiasmus zu einem höheren Zweck zu pflegen.

Die Association of Masonic Arts rief das Festival The Celebration of Apollo ins Leben, welches den schönen Künsten gewidmet ist, und 2015 erstmalig in Brasiliens Hauptstadt Brasilia stattfindet.
