Reise-Zertifikat

Dieses Reise-Zertifikat stammt aus der Henry W. Coil Library & dem Museum der Freimaurerei. Das Zertifikat beurkundet die Reisen und Besuche im Meistergrad des Freimaurers Lewan Simmons. Es wurde im Jahre 1765 von der Großloge von Philadelphia ausgestellt. Das Zertifikat ist in Latein, Französisch und Englisch und wurde vom Großsekretär, Br. John Wood unterzeichnet.

Nous Soussigné certifions que´s Frere Lewan Simmons est Franc Maçon enregistré comme tel Suivant les agle dans la Loga N: 2 de la Province de Pennsylvanie et que pendant Son séjour panni nous et L'est comporté comme il convient a un bon et Digne Frere, a moy qu'il Nous a apparû parle Certificat de la Loge a nous addressé(?)

I do hereby Certify that BROTHER Lewan Simmons is a regular registered FREE MASON of Lodge No. 2 of the Province of Pennsylvania and has during his stay [nicht lesbar] them behaved himself an honest and worthy Brother. Is appear by the Lodge Certificate to me Given under my hand and the seal of the Grand Lodge in Philadelphia the 9(?) day of labor in the Year of the Lord 1765 and in the Year of Masonry 5765.
